Intelligent 360° Bird’s-Eye View

Four strategically positioned cameras create a stitched 360° surround view of the vehicle, giving the driver significantly greater awareness of the areas immediately around the HGV.

The system provides a top-down bird’s-eye perspective alongside individual camera views, helping drivers during urban driving, manoeuvring, reversing and operation in confined spaces.

Automatic 360° Calibration

Integrated calibration technology simplifies the setup and alignment of the four-camera surround-view system, helping create an accurate stitched image around the vehicle.

AI-Powered VRU Detection

Intelligent AI cameras are specifically configured to detect Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs), including pedestrians and cyclists, helping drivers identify developing risks in critical areas around the vehicle.

Intelligent Detection — Fewer Unnecessary Alerts

Sentinel X360 is designed to distinguish relevant VRU hazards from surrounding objects.

Static objects such as trees, poles and street furniture do not trigger VRU warnings, helping reduce unnecessary alerts and driver distraction.

Dynamic Distance & Trajectory Analysis

Sentinel doesn’t simply recognise that a pedestrian or cyclist is present.

The system uses dynamic distance measurement and movement analysis to assess the changing relationship between the VRU and the vehicle.

This allows the system to distinguish between a VRU travelling safely alongside the vehicle and one whose trajectory is developing into a potential conflict.

Progressive Visual & Spoken Warnings

Sentinel X360 uses a risk-based warning strategy rather than generating unnecessary audible alerts whenever a VRU is detected.

VRU travelling parallel with no immediate conflict:
The system continues tracking the VRU and provides a visual warning only.

VRU trajectory begins closing towards the vehicle:
Dynamic distance and trajectory analysis identify the increasing risk.

Potential conflict detected:
The system activates a spoken warning, drawing the driver’s attention to the relevant side of the vehicle.

For example:

“Caution! Left side pedestrian.”

This approach is intended to provide useful information to the driver while reducing repetitive audible warnings and unnecessary cognitive load.

Advanced Blind-Spot Protection

Multi-camera coverage provides visibility across critical areas around the vehicle, helping the driver monitor vulnerable road users that may otherwise be difficult to see through mirrors alone.

Android Operating System

The X360 incorporates an Android-based operating system, transforming the monitor from a conventional camera display into an integrated commercial-vehicle information platform.

It provides a flexible interface for navigation, vehicle monitoring and supported connected-fleet applications.

Built-In HGV Navigation

Integrated commercial-vehicle navigation allows routing to be configured around relevant vehicle characteristics and restrictions, helping drivers avoid unsuitable routes such as low bridges and restricted roads.

Remote Live Video Monitoring

Supported connected configurations allow authorised fleet operators to remotely access vehicle camera feeds, providing greater operational visibility and supporting incident review and fleet management.

An active SIM/mobile data connection is required.

Lifetime GPS Tracking — No GPS Subscription Fee

Compatible Sentinel X360 systems include lifetime GPS tracking and platform access, allowing operators to monitor vehicle location without an ongoing OROTEK GPS platform subscription.

A SIM/mobile data connection is still required, and network/data charges are separate unless specifically included.

Loop Recording — Up to 500GB

Continuous multi-camera recording directly to MicroSD storage up to 500GB, eliminating the need for a separate external DVR.

This provides recorded footage that can assist with incident investigation, driver protection and operational review.

Real-Time Voice Safety Alerts

Clear spoken warnings provide an additional layer of driver awareness when the AI system identifies a developing VRU risk.

Rather than constantly sounding whenever somebody is detected, the system is designed to escalate warnings according to the developing situation.

OROTEK Sentinel X360 combines 360° surround vision, AI VRU detection, dynamic distance measurement, trajectory analysis, recording, GPS tracking, remote monitoring and HGV navigation within one integrated platform.

A pedestrian simply walking parallel to the vehicle can remain visually detected without generating an unnecessary audible warning. If that pedestrian’s trajectory begins closing towards the vehicle and creates a potential conflict, Sentinel can escalate the warning and alert the driver.

The objective is simple: give the driver more useful information, not more noise.
